The All-Day Ticket
PASSENGERS will able to buy one-day Metro tickets from today, the local Metro operator said yesterday.
The 18 yuan (US$2.64) ticket will allow unlimited travel on all lines, except Line 13, which runs inside the Expo site and is free for visitors, for the whole day.
Ying Minghong, president of the Metro operator, Shanghai Shentong Group, said such tickets would be popular with Expo tourists.
The ticket will be sold at 85 stations along 11 city Metros as well as at the ticket center of Shanghai Railway Station.
Tourists can keep the tickets as souvenir after they use them.
The new ticket will be available for the rest of the year.
