Train tickets

SHANGHAI railway authority said yesterday that passengers can buy all bullet train tickets using their legal IDs on May 22. The real-name buying system will go into force on June 1, railway officials said. Foreigners can buy tickets with their temporary residence permits, exit-entry permits, and diplomatic certificates. One legal ID card can only buy one ticket, officials said.
