Trains added to Metro network

INTERVALS between trains on Metro Lines 3 and 4 will be cut by 30 seconds to five minutes during rush hours after three new trains were added to the network, according to Shanghai Shentong Metro Group.

The new trains have led to changes in timetables. Trains on the circular Line 4 will begin running from Yishan Road Station at 5:30am instead of from Damuqiao Road Station. That means the first train will now leave Damuqiao Road Station at 6:21am. The first train to leave Shanghai South Railway Station on Metro Line 3 now leaves five minutes earlier at 5:25am.
