Transport cards can now be used for boat tours

PEOPLE can use their public transport cards to take a boat tour of the city's Suzhou Creek from June 11, the Suzhou Creek Sightseeing Cruise Co Ltd said today.
The company said passengers can get on board at Danba Road Dock, 2690 Guangfu Road W., and at Changhua Road Dock, 1250 Yichang Road.
The company resumed the cruise service on April 29 after one-year dredging operation in the river. Tourists can view historical houses and modern high-rises along the river and get off the boat at any of the dozen docks to visit the buildings they like and take the next boat to continue their tour.
The cruise costs 200 yuan (US$31.39) each person during the day and 230 yuan at night.
Transport authorities said the city's public transport cards are also accepted by bus and taxi operators in the neighboring cities of Kunshan, Hangzhou, Fuyang, Changshu and Wuxi.
