Tunnel cuts time to Hongqiao hub

FROM Saturday morning, drivers will enjoy a shortcut to Hongqiao's airport and railway station as a new vehicle tunnel is scheduled to open to traffic, government officials said yesterday.
The two-deck Yingbin No. 3 Road tunnel, with two lanes on each level, is expected to reduce congestion on nearby elevated highways and ground-level roads used to access the airport terminals and the railway station, according to construction officials.
