Upgrades for 13 city parks
THIRTEEN of the city's old parks are being upgraded this year.
The parks were originally scheduled for upgrades next year, Xinmin Evening News reported today.
The parks include Changfeng Park, Shanghai Botanical Garden and Shanghai Zoo.
Shanghai began to renovate old parks in 2005. Eighty parks built before the 1980s are on the renovation list.
Renovation work on 12 of the parks, including Tianshan Park, will finish this year. By June, two parks had been finished, three parks were being renovated and five were preparing for their upgrades.
