1,300 drivers caught
THE city’s traffic law enforcement team has caught more than 1,300 violators, including cherry-picking taxi drivers and bus drivers changing routes without permission, since the start of a citywide crackdown, officials said yesterday.
Nearly 80 taxi drivers have been given 15-day business suspensions and another 66 have had their business licenses revoked.
About 2,700 illegal taxis have also been intercepted and 100,000-yuan penalty tickets were issued to the online car-hailing platforms-Didi, Uber, Shenzhou and Yidao.
