14 hurt in school bus accident

ELEVEN schoolchildren and three teachers were injured in a school bus accident at Shanghai Japanese School in Minhang District yesterday afternoon.
Minhang District police said the bus hit a school compound wall.
The bus driver was described as a middle-aged woman with more than 20 years’ driving experience, who claimed the bus had suffered a brake failure, according to a Shanghai Radio report.
Police said that the driver has been cleared of driving under influence and the cause of the accident had yet to be determined.
The injured were taken to hospital, but nobody was critically injured, all were released from hospital after treatments, according to the police.
