16 firms fail to take fire-safety measures

Sixteen companies and one person, who failed to remove fire hazards or rectify them despite being put on a publicly displayed list for six months, will remain on the list until they make the necessary changes.
The list includes a division of Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University, the Lulu catering management company and Shanghai wholesale market of agricultural products. Another 47 companies and two people were removed from the monthly updated list. The public list was introduced last June by city government to push companies and people to implement fire control measures.
