SHANGHAI Municipal Archives has released a new TV documentary about the city’s financial history.
Philip Short, the author of a renowned biography of Chairman Mao Zedong, “Mao: A Life,” narrated the eight-episode documentary, called “Shanghai Memory.”
The documentary examines the financial development of the city over the past 170 years. The documentary, which has Chinese subtitles, is being broadcast on the local Documentary Channel at 8:30pm daily until Saturday.
