POLICE have busted a counterfeit paint manufacturing den in a construction materials market in the Pudong New Area’s Sanlin area.
The gang have turned out 1 million yuan (US$162,938) worth of paint, police said yesterday. Since March, the gang had been collecting used paint containers of well-known brands, filling them with their own paint and selling them out of the market, police said. Two of the suspects are being taken to court for counterfeiting a registered trademark.
