4 arrested in Minhang over the Farine Bakery scandal

MINHANG District prosecutors said they had arrested four people in the Farine bakery flour scandal.

The French bakery’s production director Laurent Daniel Fortin, a Frenchman, and three Chinese employees Xin Xiangrong, Hu Jun and Lu Jiajian were arrested.

They are accused of using expired flour to make breads in their factory in Minhang, which was then supplied to its five outlets across the city between December 2016 and March this year.
