57 Shanghai victims identified

By 5pm yesterday, DNA tests had confirmed the identities of 57 of the 96 people from Shanghai who died in the Yangtze River disaster, the city government said. Twenty-three relatives have returned to the city.
Memorial services have been held for 36 victims in Jianli County in central China’s Hubei Province, the site of the tragedy, after the bodies were cremated.
