Bad mooncakes

SOME mooncakes manufactured locally have been found to have bacteria content exceeding the standard, the Shanghai Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision said yesterday.

It checked 181 samples from 156 makers and seven samples had failed tests. The bureau also said some brands use excess packaging, among them the popular Laodafang "Jixiangruyi" brand.
