Blocking billboard set to go

A HUGE advertising billboard blocking a sidewalk in the Pudong New Area is to be removed after pedestrians complained that it poses a safety risk.
The hoarding for a real estate project called Fado is more than 1 meters high and 10 meters long and has blocked a wide sidewalk on Huachun Road for more than a week.
To get round it, pedestrians have been forced to walk on the road.
Pudong New Area Urban Management Administrative Bureau yesterday said the billboard is an illegal construction that breaks road safety regulations.
The real estate company has been ordered to remove the billboard before Thursday, said bureau officials.
