Bomb threat on flight was hoax
Police found no signs of a bomb after one of the passengers had scribbled the word “bomb” in the toilet of a Turkish Airlines flight bound for Shanghai, airport officials said yesterday.
A flight attendant on the TK026 flight from Istanbul to Shanghai noticed the “Bomb” in one of the toilet on the Boeing 777 aircraft when it was about to land at the Pudong International Airport on Monday at around 3pm.
The captain immediately alerted the airport before landing.
Police found no explosives on board while the passengers were thoroughly searched.
They are still investigating the incident.
