Construction of Shanghai Metro’s Chongming Line will break ground this year. It is one of 138 major construction projects the city will focus on this year, worth a total of 136 billion yuan (US$20.2 billion).
According to a blueprint of the Chongming Line, it will run between Jinji Road Station in the Pudong New Area and Yu’an Station in Chongming, covering 44.6 kilometers and eight stations.
