AN accident with an escalator that went into reverse at Parkson shopping center on Thursday morning, injuring six people, was caused by a broken link in chains that drive the machinery and a failure in the brake, Luwan District quality inspection officials said yesterday. They also ordered Parkson to replace all drive chains in its escalators and have their brakes inspected.
