Chandelier man jailed

THE owner of a chandelier cleaning company was jailed for 15 months yesterday at the Jing’an District People’s Court over a fatal accident in which three of his workers fell from 9-meter-high scaffolding due to poor safety measures. Bai Bo had moved the scaffolding incorrectly, resulting in the fall at the Jing An Shangri-La hotel on July 12. Worker Lai Hongbo died from the fall and colleagues Shao Xiaoyong and Yang Chuang were injured.
