THE Shanghai Gold Jewelry Industry Association yesterday announced that all the member companies will donate 0.10 yuan (1 US cent) to the Shanghai Charity Foundation when they sell 1 gram of a precious metal, such as platinum or gold. Officials estimated that they can donate 3 million yuan in the next half-year.
