Choppers on patrol
HELICOPTERS are being used to help identify vehicles carrying hazardous chemicals illegally. The aircraft will patrol all entrances to the city and report any violations to officers on the ground. Vehicles carrying hazardous chemicals that are not registered on the city’s supervision platform are banned from entering Shanghai. Offenders can be fined between 3,000 (US$460) to 8000 yuan.
