Customs starts parcel blog
SHANGHAI Customs yesterday began publishing on its microblog the tracking numbers of “problem” international parcels delivered by China Post. All of the packages have tax discrepancies or other problems. The new measure was introduced in response to a growing number of telephone calls from consumers wanting to know the status of their parcels. The microblog — “Shanghai Customs 12360 Service Hotline” — will release two lists of tracking numbers every day at noon. The first features parcels where the tax due has been paid by China Post on behalf of the receiver, while the second is for parcels with other issues.
