A MAN was handed a two-day detention for smoking in a Metro train. The passenger, surnamed Chen, took the train at Sheshan Station on Line 9 at 7:36pm last Thursday and lit a cigarette. Metro police off-loaded Chen at Jiuting Station. He was sent into detention for two days. Smoking is banned on Metro platforms and in the carriages.
