Driving instructor fined

A DRIVING instructor was fined 200 yuan (US$30) and lost three points from his license after his pupil committed a traffic violation last week, police in Putuo District said yesterday.
Instructors are liable by law for their students’ errors. The man was also further penalized by his employer.
