AN escalator at the Tongji University Station on Metro Line 10 will be suspended for maintenance until November 18, the metro operator said yesterday. The affected escalator connects the platform to Exit 2 in the station. Eight escalators at other stations on the line have recently completed maintenance work. There has been a spate of accidents involving escalators in China recently.
