Ex-safety chief jailed
Qi Jun, former head and Party chief of the previous Shanghai Administration of Work Safety (now the city’s emergency management bureau), has been sentenced to 12 years in jail for bribery and private distribution of state assets by the Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court. Qi, who was investigated by the local discipline inspection commission, was dismissed from the Party for serious violations of Party discipline in 2017.
