Factory owners arrested

POLICE have arrested the owners of an electroplating factory in Jiading District for illegally discharging waste water that contains heavy metal. The district’s environmental protection authority detected excess chrome in the drainage system near the factory during a routine inspection earlier this year. The factory is owned by two brothers surnamed Wan.
