THE Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau will start street patrols at night when the cold snap hits. Homeless people who stay under bridges or at transport hubs will be invited into local shelters to spend the night.
There they can receive food, showers, a bed and medical care, if necessary.
The bureau will also help those who stay on the streets with food, water and blankets.
