‘Innovation country’ eyes new partners in growth

FRANCE is branding itself as a country of innovation at the expo, in which 70 French companies from different industries are taking part.
Championing innovative French businesses is the France China Committee.
“France and China have been deepening their economic cooperation ... especially in the aviation and civilian nuclear fields where the two countries have established a true mutually beneficial partnership, but now they’re willing to diversify their cooperation in all sectors, such as sustainable development, health and agri-food,” said Sybille Dubois-Fontaine Turner, France China Committee CEO.
“This cooperation will benefit large, medium and small companies to enhance closer ties between the Franco-Chinese business community.”
One company reaping the benefits is global pharma giant Sanofi.
Jean-Christophe Pointeau, Sanofi China CEO, said the company is working with China’s largest Internet, tech and insurance companies such as Alibaba, Tencent and Ping An.
