A MAN has been sentenced to jail for four months for beating his wife while he was drunk after losing at gambling, said the Jing'an District People's Court.
On May 18, Hu Ning, a security guard at a local entertainment venue, argued with his wife over money issues, after he spent their rent money gambling. When his wife asked for the rent money to be returned, Hu began to hit her on the head with a hammer.
