LED scare for eyes

Experts in the city are calling for an upgraded standard on light emitting diode as they said many LED lights sold in the local markets pose a serious risks to the retina, particularly children. Sun Xinghuai, director of the Fudan University Eye Ear Nose and Throat Hospital, said a person’s eyes can be seriously damaged if exposed to the blue light emitted from bad quality LED over a period of time.
