THE construction on Metro Line 11's extension to Jiangsu Province will begin this year, city planners said yesterday. The extension will have three stops in Jiangsu's Kunshan area, which is north of Shanghai's Jiading District. For now, Line 11 connects suburban Jiading to downtown Shanghai. The line will also eventually be extended south to the Pudong New Area.
