Man given sentence for insurance fraud

THE owner of a vehicle repair company has been given a suspended sentence of three years in prison for defrauding more than 200,000 yuan (US$30,030) from insurance companies by falsely claiming clients had been in accidents, judges said yesterday.
The Changning District People's Court also imposed a fine of 60,000 yuan on his company.
