Man held for molesting girls

A 40-YEAR-OLD man was detained by police for allegedly molesting two young girls.
The Anhui Province native lived in an apartment on Xinqun Road in Qingcun Town, Fengxian District.
Neighbors said on Wednesday evening a few emotional parents visited his apartment. They claimed that two girls, aged seven and eight, were sexually abused by the man.
The parents said the girls complained of pain in the lower part of the body after the man “touched” them there earlier in the day.
Police arrived about 7pm and took the man away for further investigation, though he denied molesting anybody.
Police suggested that he could have molested more young girls before.
One of the parents said the children were lured into the apartment by promises of food.
Neighbors said the man was married. His wife and daughter were in Anhui for work and study. He worked in a factory here and did not communicate much with the neighbors. The case is still being investigated.
