THE Shanghai Matchmaking Association said yesterday that strict security measures will be in place to avoid stampede during the city’s annual matchmaking event next month. About 150 security guards and 200 policemen will be deployed when the biggest matchmaking party takes place on October 31 and November 1 in Baoshan District. The event has attracted nearly 200,000 singles since 2011.
