Nutritional lunches on the menu in Jing’an

OFFICE workers in Jing’an District will soon be able to make healthy lunch choices thanks to a new promotional campaign planned by the Shanghai Health Promotion Committee.
All dishes on sale at office cafeterias in the district will come with details of their calorific content, committee official Jiang Zongmin said yesterday.
“We want to introduce more practical health guidance and raise people’s awareness of good nutrition,” she said.
“By publishing the nutritional value of dishes in the cafeterias it will make it easier for people to make sensible choices,” Jiang said.
The campaign is set to get under way in the next couple of weeks, she said.
