Pair get their bargain laptop

SHANGHAI Yisheng Network Technology Co Ltd was ordered to keep its promise to sell a laptop at 699 yuan (US$102) to a local couple or compensate them a 6,300 yuan price difference, Xuhui District People's Court ruled yesterday.
The couple succeeded in buying a laptop at 699 yuan in a sales promotion activity organized by Yisheng on July 22. The market price of the laptop was more than 8,000 yuan. But the company had second thoughts and canceled the order, saying employees had attached a wrong price tag. The court ruled that the mistake couldn't be used as an excuse to break a promise. The seller should sell the laptop at the low price or compensate the difference between 699 yuan and the store's cost.
