Passenger ferry hits barge on Huangpu

A ferry carrying about 150 passengers collided with a barge on the Huangpu River yesterday, officials said.
The incident happened about 9:45am as the Songsanxian Ferry was traveling to Wusong Pier from Sanchagang Pier in the Pudong New Area. The ferry was left stranded for about an hour after “rear-ending” the barge in a busy section of the river. Five people suffered minor cuts and bruises.
