Plastic surgeon awarded payments

A DISTRICT court has backed a South Korean plastic surgeon's claim for 750,000 yuan (US$109,810) in payment from a local plastic surgery hospital.
Changning District People's Court decided that e-mails provided by the surgeon proved the hospital had agreed to pay him the amount.
The plastic surgeon surnamed Choi began working in a private plastic-surgery hospital in Changning District in January 2005, when South Korean TV serials were prevalent.
The popularity of the South Korean actors, many of whom had face-lifts, sparked widespread admiration of South Korean plastic surgeons.
Choi received e-mails from the hospital's financial staff every month since June 2005, informing him of his earnings, based on a percentage of surgery fees.
By April 2007 when he left the hospital, the earnings totaled 1.3 million yuan, but the hospital paid him only 550,000 yuan.
