Popular writer's suit heads to court
A DISTRICT court yesterday accepted a lawsuit filed by popular young writer Han Han against "science cop" Fang Zhouzi for damaging the writer's reputation.
Han brought the case to the Putuo District People's Court last Friday after an online dispute with Fang during the Spring Festival. Fang, who earned his "science cop" nickname by exposing scientific fraud, questioned Han in January, saying his articles and novels were written by others and concluding that Han's ghostwriter was likely his father. Han sued Fang for defamation and violation of authorship.
