Pudong couple commit suicide

A SHANGHAI couple, reportedly high on gambling debts, committed suicide by drinking pesticide at home yesterday, police said.
The couple, both Shanghai natives in their 30, were found dead at their residence on Jinxiang Road in the Pudong New Area about 10am. Police found the couple in bed at 11am. An empty pesticide bottle and a suicide letter were found on the scene. A security guard said the couple owed large sums in gambling debts.
