Scenic spots in price pledge

SHANGHAI’S 53 scenic spots have signed an agreement not to raise admission prices, the Shanghai Development and Reform Commission said yesterday.
Among the 53, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Wildlife Park and Shanghai Ocean Aquarium said they will halt plans to lift admission prices. These attractions had earlier said that they planned to increase their entrance fees by 20 yuan (US$3.1) to 30 yuan.
The commission did not reveal the period of the agreement.
