DOCTORS successfully managed to reattach the severed fingers of a decoration worker after surgery at a local hospital, but he had a policeman to thank for it. The policeman spent half an hour and covered 40 kilometers to look for the fingers before retrieving the two fingers at his place of work and rushing them to the hospital. Doctors later said the fingers must be reattached within two hours to have the best results. His colleagues called police for help, Songjiang police said yesterday.
