Shanghai Tower wins award

SHANGHAI Tower has been awarded one of the best tall buildings in the world this year by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, the management of the building said yesterday. The Tower was awarded as the 2016 Best Tall Building Worldwide, along with the VIA 57 West in America, The White Walls in Europe and The Cube in Lebanon. The awards are an independent review of new projects.
“Shanghai Tower shows the greatest commitment to communal space in a tall building. It contains the world’s first truly inhabitable double-skin facade on a skyscraper,” the CTBUH said.
