Shelters help homeless
THE city's civil affairs authorities ask people who are homeless to call 110 or 962200 for help. More than 20 temporary shelters have been set up citywide to provide them with meals, bathing and accommodations.
Police and civil affairs officials will step up patrols at bus stations, bridges and buildings. Bus drivers, cabbies, security guards and residents are asked to look out for the homeless.
