AIR defense sirens will sound across the city today before noon, marking the 15th National Defense Education Day. The drill aims at testing the city’s siren warning system and helping residents to familiarize themselves with the rules of air raid sirens. They will sound three times between 11:35am to 11:58am, each burst lasting three minutes. The city’s two international airports — Pudong and Hongqiao — will be exempted.
