Six Indians jailed
SIX Indians who entered China with fake passports have been sentenced from nine months to two years for illegally crossing the border.
Subbarayan Sridhar, 56, jobless, distributed fake passports to the other five and arranged for them to take a flight from Sri Lanka to Shanghai on April 21.
They were caught when they tried to use the passports to fly to South Korea from the Pudong airport, Huangpu District People’s Court said.
Sridhar was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment. He will be deported afterward. The other five were each jailed for nine months and will also be deported.
