Stealing maid jailed

A WOMAN who worked as an ayi for a local family has been sentenced to six months in detention and fined 1,000 yuan (US$160) for stealing money from her employer. The Pudong New Area People’s Court declined to reveal how much the 50-year-old stole, but found her guilty after watching footage from surveillance cameras installed in the property.
