Suspect sought in knife attack that kills woman, wounds her husband

POLICE are hunting for a man suspected of killing a woman and injuring her husband over a financial dispute early this morning in Jiading District.

The suspect set a fire at a company dorm on Chungui Road around 2:15am, according to witnesses. A couple came out from the dorm to stop the suspect, who took out a knife and stabbed them, killing the wife and injuring the husband, police said.

The suspect and the couple were business partners and there was an economic dispute between them, police said. They did not identify the suspect or the victims.

The case is under investigation.
