Taxi rates up in Jinshan

THE taxi flagdown rate in Jinshan District was increased by 1 yuan (16 US cents) to 12 yuan yesterday. The increase was cancelled out by the removal of a 1 yuan fuel surtax the same day. Fares were also raised by 0.10 yuan to 2.50 yuan per kilometer after the first 3km.
